Housing and sustainability are inextricably linked. The goal of the Town’s Housing Program is to strengthen our community, economy, and environment by increasing the inventory of homes our local workers can afford to rent and buy. For example, by creating and preserving housing in Truckee for our local workforce, we reduce commuting vehicle miles traveled (VMT).

I serve on the Board of Directors of a local environmental non-profit, the Sierra Nevada Alliance. Since 1993, the Sierra Nevada Alliance has been protecting and restoring Sierra lands, water, wildlife, and communities. Our vision is that every Sierra ecosystem and community is healthy, resilient, and collectively cared for through thriving partnerships as a legacy for future generations.
