This information tracks how many miles of paved trails, bike lanes and sidewalks the Town of Truckee contains.

Class 1 refers to both multi-use paved trails and sidewalks. Class 1 trails are generally wide and are great for walking, running, dog walking, biking, and equestrian.

Class 2 refers to designated bike lanes. These trails are typically used by road bikers and offer a paved lane (usually 5 feet wide) that is striped to keep cars and trucks separated from bikers.

Class 3 refers to bike routes and roads that allow room for bikers due to the size of the shoulder. These, however, are not necessarily striped and do not offer the same degree of separation from moving traffic as class 2 trails.
