Decarbonization Roadmap

In April 2025, the Town Council adopted an Existing Building Decarbonization Roadmap that outlines strategies the Town can implement to support decarbonization of existing residential and commercial buildings in Truckee. Creation of this Roadmap was an action item in the Town’s Climate Action Plan, which was adopted in May 2023. This Roadmap is intended to be an evolving document that is updated periodically in response to Climate Action Plan updates, relevant changes to state or federal policy, updated direction from the Town Council, new technologies, or other factors.
