Weatherize Truckee

Coming Soon! Expected Late Winter of 2026
Weatherize Truckee is a pilot program designed to connect income-qualified Truckee residents with no-cost weatherization upgrades. This program is intended to supplement existing weatherization assistance programs to help improve access to weatherization upgrades for Truckee households. These upgrades can have benefits such as increased comfort, energy efficiency, and better indoor air quality.
This program will include upgrades such as:
- Attic sealing and insulating
- Crawl space sealing and insulating
- Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical improvements
- Critical repairs related to weatherization measures
Weatherize Truckee will help up to 40 households. Up to twenty homes will receive expanded access to no-cost repairs through existing utility and federal weatherization programs with lower income limits, and up to 20 households that are not eligible for existing weatherization assistance programs will receive free, turnkey weatherization upgrades through the Weatherize Truckee program.
The program will serve homeowners and renters of single-family homes (including townhomes and mobile homes) earning up to 80% of household area median income, in accordance with standards set by the California Department of Housing and Community Development for Nevada County.
