Home Goods Drive

The Town of Truckee and Keep Truckee Green are running another home goods drive for residents of Coldstream Commons and the Truckee Artist Lofts. Help support your Truckee neighbors by donating needed items or volunteering your time!

DONATION TIMES:

Tuesday May 3^rd and Wednesday May 4^th, 4-7pm
Truckee Artist Lofts (9848 Donner Pass Rd)

After surveying residents to learn their needs, specific items have been requested. Please limit your donation to the requested items, and label your boxes with what’s inside (e.g. boxes with items, sizes of clothes, bedding etc…). The list of needed items is below.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

Tuesday, May 3^rd; 4- 5:30 PM; 5:30 PM – 7PM
Wednesday, May 4^th; 4 – 5:30 PM; 5:30 PM – 7PM

Volunteer Responsibilities: Field donations as they come in and organize based on category of goods. Some lifting of large furniture may be required.

Please limit donations to the requested items:

Furniture

For Kitchens – kitchen tables, kitchen chairs

Storage – Bookshelves, dressers, shoe racks, plastic storage bins

Furnishings – coffee tables, trash cans, rugs, large mirrors, accent tables, bedside tables,

office chairs, TV shelves, floor lamps, bedside lamps, curtains and curtain rods

Bedroom – Bedframes

Bathroom goods – Bathroom counter organizer, bathroom trash can, suction shower

caddy

Pets

Raised canvas dog bed, dog toys, cat supplies, flea and tick supplies for dogs

Linens

King, queen, full sheets (fitted and top sheet), blankets, pillowcases, bath towels, washcloths

Kitchen goods

Cookware – pots, pans, baking sheets, spatulas, microwaves, kitchen knives, sponges,

silicone baking items

Tableware and Storage – utensils, glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, glass Tupperware

Other Items – tongs, coffee makers, milk steamers, juicers, griddle pans, salad bowls, gas burners, popcorn makers, kitchen towels, blenders

Cleaning supplies

garbage bags, sprays, laundry detergent, mop, broom, laundry basket

Misc items

Accessories – draft protectors for the bottom of the door, furniture leg pads, computer monitor

Tools – power tools (drills, drivers), sewing machine

Other – art pieces, blank journals/notebooks, calendars/planners, fabrics by the yard

Pants (small, medium, large, big and tall), T-shirts (medium, 3x or 4x), Boots (size 6.5,7, 10, 10.5, 11, 13), Tennis shoes (size 10-10.5), Hoodies (3x or 4x), Sweatpants (S, M, L), Overalls (S, M, L), T-shirts (S, M, L)

Womens –

Pants (m, 48 waist), Yoga pants (L), Size 4 Levis, Winter jacket (m, 3xl), Slippers (size 8), Trail runners (size 8), Sneakers (8, 8.5), Sweatshirt (3xl), Sweaters (3xl), Tees (M, L), Water shoes, Sports leggings (M, L), Long bathrobe, Shorts (M), Dresses (M), Tanks (M), Sandals (6,7,8,9)
