Soft film plastics should be thrown away. Even bags labeled compostable or biodegradable should be put in the trash as they are not accepted in Truckee’s compost. Instead, consider using, making, or purchasing small cotton bags to bring to the grocery store. These can be stored with your resusable bags and are an easy way to reduce waste.
