Feed Truckee

Feed Truckee is a food recovery partnership between Sierra Community House, Keep Truckee Green and Truckee Sourdough that was formally initiated in February 2021. Truckee Sourdough donates surplus edible bread twice per week to Sierra Community House’s community pantry food distribution. Local volunteers organized through Keep Truckee Green transport the bread twice per week from Truckee Sourdough to Sierra Community House’s Truckee warehouse.

As of May 2025, Feed Truckee has donated 70,000 lbs of bread that would otherwise be thrown away, to community members in need.
