Cigarettes are the most common litter item found on Truckee streets and trails. Cigarette butts contain toxins that can leach into our soil and waterways. Toss your butts in the trash!

Empty cigarette packs made of cardboard are recyclable. Just be sure to remove any plastic packaging.
