ENERGY USAGE

Community Energy Usage

#kWh (kilowatt hours) of electricity and therms of natural gas used town-wide

To reduce your own personal energy use, try replacing your light bulbs with LEDS, weatherize and insulate your home, and practice energy conservation activities. These can be as simple as unplugging power cords, turning off the lights, hang-drying clothes, and reducing heating and cooling by programming your thermostat.

This information tracks the total electricity use in kWh and energy use in therms annually town-wide.

Reducing our energy usage is a significant way Truckee residents can reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. By tracking our community’s annual energy usage, we can determine the effectiveness of  different actions taken to reduce our community-wide usage.

This information is reported by Truckee Donner Public Utility District and Liberty Utilities. (Liberty Utilities data was only available 2014 – present)
