Giving 110% for 100% Renewable Energy. We have set a goal of achieving 100% renewable electricity by 2030 and 100% renewable energy by 2050. Right now, we are already working to use our energy more efficiently. But imagine when we can rely completely on renewable energy sources to fuel our buildings, thereby eliminating carbon and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. While meeting our goal largely falls under the responsibility of local utilities and other agency partners, we believe our individual efforts play a very important role as well. Significant progress is being made. Truckee Donner PUD consistently provides over 60% renewable electricity and is well on its way to reaching 100%.
