Municipal Energy Usage
#kWh (kilowatt hours) used by all Town infrastructure
The Town has adopted a Strategic Energy Plan that includes $300,000 worth of recommended energy efficiency actions. By the end of 2021 the Town will have implemented 260,000 kWh of energy efficiency retrofits, such as installing solar-powered LED lights at crosswalks and roundabouts as well as upgrading the Town’s heat pump system.

This information tracks the kWh of electricity and therms of natural gas used annually within the Town’s municipal facilities.
Reducing our energy usage is a significant way the Town can reduce greenhouse gas emissions from municipal operations. Tracking our usage will inform future actions and measure the success of energy efficiency retrofit projects or programs that related to the Town’s infrastructure.
